How can I reverse tether my Android via USB without rooting?

Rajaa Chowdhury asks:

I have a Windows 7 64-bit desktop with a cable broadband connection unlimited plan. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Chat GT-B5330 with Android ICS 4.0.4 latest firmware updated.

Now I want to utilize this internet connection for my Android. I do not have a WiFi adapter on my desktop, so I will have to connect via the USB. Neither I want to root my device. Any solution for my request of reverse tethering via USB without rooting?

Browser: Chrome 23 and Dolphin broswer
System: Windows 7 64bit and Android 4.0.4

Maybe you should try a USB to Ethernet adapter for android.

Was looking for some apps solution. Though solution exists, but the ones I have checked till now all requires a rooted device.

Hardly helpful… I’m sure there are solutions out there.

Namely Reverse Tether by Littlelan…you can find it on the Play Store

If all else fails, you can always buy a USB WiFI adapter (I buy tiny ones off eBay for about £2 and they work very well) and attach it to your PC…

I think it’s not possible without rooting. Only then you can use an app for this, like : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jasongong.tether.usb&hl=en
