I tried to change the windows color of start bar , task bar and windows borders by going into properties or personalize, but it doesn’t work.

Can you tell me how to restore my Windows 7 theme or  suggest  software thatcan change the color of start bar, task bar and windows borders?

I find System Restore to be the best optioin in such a situation? I hope you had it turn on in system options?

Click Start, in the search box type Aero, click on the Find and Fix Problems with transparency and other visual effects, in the new windows make sure it is set to repair automatically, then click Next. It will restore the default Windows 7 theme completely.

Use System Restore to return to time when theme settings were the way you like.

    perhaps like this
    1) Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, and then, in the list of results, click Performance Information and Tools.

    2)Click Adjust visual effects.

3)3.Click the Visual Effects tab do not use Adjust for best performance
