I’m going to be doing a lot of video rendering. Is there a program that can render videos with my GPU? I’m currently using Windows Movie Maker.

1. Is there a way to make WMM render with my GPU?

2. If not, is there a program (preferably free) to do this?

it depends on your graphic card, manufacturers have developed parallel processing architectures useful for for video encoding.
    -NVIDIA CUDA
    -ATI Stream (OpenCL)
Also Encoding tools must be adapted to take advantage of this capability of the graphics card.

if I am not wrong this feature is not available in Windows Movie Maker
