How can I recover disappeared files from a DVD-R disk?

DVD-R disk was formatted as a USB device.

All files have disappeared. Properties shows that the disk has no used space.

Windows Vista recognizes the drive, but shows the disk is empty. Does not also show the disk label also.

How do I recover these files?

There are some software which can recover your hard drive.

    One of them is EasyDriveDataRecovery-3.0...

I prefer this cause I use this one. It really works nicely

You could try Unstoppable Copier from http://www.roadkil.net/program.php?ProgramID=29 There is also CD Recovery Toolbox Free at http://www.snapfiles.com/get/cdrecovery.html And lastly there is CDCheck at http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/download.php I have tried each of these programs over the last 5 years and they each helped me with an issue at the time. Good luck.

Attempted download. Norton removed downloaded file as it contains a threat (WS.Reputation.1).

    Solution proposed does not work.

As HA14 recommends isobuster is the right software for that, I remember isobuster helped me to recover files from some badly scratched dvds
