How can I play a game that requires a Windows admin account on my limited account?

I don’t know the administrator password and I’m only using a limited Windows account. I can’t access the game I’ve installed because it needs to run as administrator. How can I change that? All I want to do is play it without administrator password – is this possible?

Thanks

If the computer is one you own (not a work computer you're trying to install a game on) why not recover the password? I've used Ophcrack to do this multiple times. It works really well with XP – Vista and 7 are more of a chance game in my experience. Been a few years, though, so maybe things have improved.

Anyway, I recommend using the Ophcrack live CD to get your password back.

If its your computer then is it that you have lost the Admin password?
If not why not just talk to the owner about changing your account to an admin account.
That has to be the easiest way.

You need to ask your administrator to disable UAC for this game which can be done by following the instructions given below -

    Disable UAC for specific programs
