Jen Gray asks:
I don’t want people to be able to monitor my use of Facebook on my iPhone, such as my last login time. I am aware that I can turn off chat but that doesn’t stop users from seeing when I last logged in.

To disable the last active time stamp, this has been mentioned before in an earlier post:
“Go to your account drop-down menu & go to “Privacy Settings”. Then go down to “Ads, Apps & Websites” and click on ‘Edit Settings”. Next go into “How people bring your info to apps they use” and click on “Edit Settings”.

Disable “Seen” Timestamp in FB Chat

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I had tried changing the privacy settings as described in the earlier post but unfortunately it didn’t work.
It seems unlikely but I don’t know if it makes a difference that my phone seems to have slightly different wording in the menu??
“Privacy Settings” – “Apps and Websites” – “Edit settings”- “Apps other use” – “Edit settings”
Then I unchecked all of the boxes.
February 8, 2013No – that hasn’t worked but thank you.

February 10, 2013In the privacy settings of the messaging app, there is an option to disable the timestamp or what facebook calls as ‘seen’
Where can I locate these settings? I have looked but cannot find them on the iPhone. Thank you.

May 26, 2013Hello guys,

finally, I found a TEMPORARY solution for that
simply, after finish checking your Facebook account, just log out of the app on your phone
the last active time stamp will disappear immediately.
Try it
Thank you. I tried that and it worked but is there any other way a permanent one I mean?
