I updated my account to Outlook. It has been a disaster. I can’t open up my e-mails ( they show a blank screen) and can only read them when I select “reply”. When I try to send a message it takes a forever.

How can I return to my good old Hotmail account that worked just fine ????

Try using alternative browser like Google chrome which is similar to Safari and auto updates automatically -

Also, try checking your internet connection and if it's fine then the Outlook servers might be struggling to cope up with the requests from the users as there has been reports of downtimes frequently.

At last, try clearing your browser cache and cookies, history and then later on access Outlook to see any improvements.

Download and install a desktop client such as Thunderbird to manage your emails. That should cure your problems.

I am assuming you are talking about Outlook - part of MS Office?
Check your settings and adjust them manually, I had much the same problem with the auto detect and cured it through manual settings.

Could be a Browser problem , clear the cache and try again. or use another Browser.

I suggest to switch browser e.g. to Firefox or Chrome. Outlook.com does not work well with Safari prior to version 6.0.

Yeah I agree. Try switching browsers. Even try Opera if nothing else works. Are you using a Mac? Microsoft might not have much motivation, at least so far, to make outlook.com work in a Mac.

perhaps to ask Microsoft’s forum moderators may be there is a bug somewhere
