What is the best program to convert “.djvu” files to “.pdf” extension? I don’t want online converters because I am worried about their security.

If you install Ghostscript and the plugins, IrfanView, http://www.irfanview.com/, will open DjVu Files and save them to PDF. There is even a batch processor which might work with the two extensions and is found on the file menu.

Your answer seems to be the most clever (i did know ghostscript, i have used windjvu), but it is not so easy to do for noobies like me... lol

    Boxoft Free DJVU to PDF
    http://www.boxoft.com/djvu-to-pdf/

    NovaPDF
    Convert DjVu to PDF
    http://www.novapdf.com/kb/convert-djvu-to-pdf-215.html
DjVu can be opened in Internet Explorer directly by using the freeware browser plugin provided by Caminova
    http://www.caminova.net/en/downloads/download.aspx?id=1
so it can be converted to PDF directly from IE by using novaPDF as the virtual printer.

or use separate tool WinDjView or Djview, DjvuLibre
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/djvu/files/DjVuLibre_MacOS/
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/djvu/
    http://windjview.sourceforge.net/

Good freeware programs but Boxoft cant be installed in 64 bit system and novapdf have spam notifications.
Among these three programs that you said the caminova have shown the best choice.
      Thanks for help!

If you have a PDF print driver installed, you can use any DjVu viewer such as WinDjView and print to the PDF printer to effect the conversion.

The free NitroReader PDF reader application also includes a PDF print driver if you require one. As a side benefit, it seems to have fewer security issues than Adobe's Acrobat Reader.
