Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 - Digital Multimedia-Receiver

Would that be the solution? I'm having one of those and desperately try to make it work too that I can simply see the screen of my laptop on my TV.

Now I'm not sure anymore if that is even possible. Did you find out in the meantime?

Check out if your Vaio is compatible with Intel WiDi technology. You'd have to grab a $50 adapter. I have a Vaio T13 and can't get this to work with my LG TV, as my wireless adapter is not Intel technology (it's Atheros). Intel's support site makes it sound like you just need the right processor. Not true, you need the right wireless hardware as well. So now I'm going to try installing the Intel drivers anyway and see what I can break!

Here are several pc to tv wireless converter options you could go with, but be aware that the quality might not be as good as the streaming setup you have already. Lag is also an issue, but some are not as bad as the other ones.

The actual answer: no, you can't. TVs don't accept video input over wireless or ethernet. They take a video input , and they display it. The only way you can do this is with a suitable video cable - RCA, VGA, DVI, or HDMI (in order of quality).

Wireless connection to your TV would need somewhat expensive setup equipment to stream from your computer to the box, then the TV. Tv's are only able to stream multimedia as of now if the TV is capable. Vizio is coming out with a 24" and 27" models of all in one pc's with pass through tv signal so you can user the tv without turning on the pc: http://www.vizio.com/all-in-one/overview
This is basically the best you can do for what you want seamlessly, but not what you are taking about. The links from Fidelis is more of what you'd like, otherwise connect the pc directly or get another cheap pc to do remote access.

Hello, best solution would be to connect your computer to TV with some sort of cable. You would have several choices; VGA, DVI, HDMI. I am not sure whether this can be done like you want.

You could try the following to see if it works:

http://www.twonky.com/products/twonkywindows/

Or if your second monitor would be with another computer you could try using windows remote desktop to access your computer from your TV. I do not think this would work with your TV though.....

Now for the expensive option. Check the following link that describes something like what you want to do:

http://www.gadgets-reviews.com/index.php?page=post&id=243

or DisplayLink:
