How can I access my Android device without network connection and a messed up pattern lock?

Anindya Sur asks:

My new Android was disconnected from network and then my daughter messed up with pattern locking. Now it asks for my Google account ID and password; but as the device is disconnected, it refuses to accept them. What are the best options to bring my device to working condition?

if you have usb debugging enabled then you can try this method http://www.redmondpie.com/bypassing-android-pattern-lock-is-a-piece-of-cake-all-you-need-is-adb-and-usb-debugging-enabled/ but if you haven’t then you will have to reset the phone or follow these steps here http://einartysen.se/unlock-android-phone-after-too-many-pattern-attempts/

you can also go to a place where they offer free internet without password and enter your gmail and password.

the only method is to do hard reset of your device. You might lose all the information stored in it. by default all the information is backed up to google servers unless you’ve disabled it.

If you can tell which android device you are using, I can provide you instructions on resetting your device or you can borrow and insert the working SIM card in your phone and insert your Google account details.
