What happened to my past events on Google Calendar and Droid?

I pulled up my Google Calendar on my Droid and all my past events are gone (other than the current month)? I checked Google Calendar online and they aren’t there either.

Is there a way to get these back? And if not, is there a setting that will allow me to keep events entered on my Google Calendar for one year?

I’ve spent the last hour searching for a setting with no luck. :o(
I would so appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks a bunch and have a fantastic weekend!

there are a lot of forums on the problem and people trying to fix the bug.
some are trying to retain the events, by entering only who part,
    some are blaming on sync.

    see if anything works.
    Google accepted this bug.

    Troubleshooting Steps
    - Go to *Settings*
    - Click *Applications*
    - Choose *Manage applications*
    - Click the *All *tab
    - Select *Calendar Storage* and click *Clear data*
    - Go to Settings
    - Go to Accounts & sync
    - Choose the appropriate account
    - Check and uncheck the box next to *Sync Calendar*
When you clear your Calendar app data and perform an initial sync after doing so, Google Calendar will sync events 30 days back in time, as well as one year into the future. There is no way to sync events older than 30 days after clearing your Calendar app data though.
