How can I make the guest account show on the Windows 7 logon screen?

Karen Cull asks:

I enabled guest profile, but it doesn’t come up as an option on the logon screen. Only switch user.

Make sure Guest is in the Guests group.
Make sure Guest is allowed to login:secpol.msc → Local policies → User Rights Assignment → Deny logon locally
Make sure neither of the names is in the “Special accounts” list:regedit → HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogonSpecialAccountsUserList

    Turn On Guest Account
    1. Open the Control Panel (All Items View).

or in the start menu type: enable guest account

    2. Click on the User Accounts icon.

    3. Click on the Manage another account link.

    4. If prompted by UAC, then click on Yes.

    5. Click on the listed Guest account.

    6. Click on the Turn On button.

    7. The guest account is now turned on. Close the User Accounts window

You can also try the below steps to rectify this issue:
1.You need to first login with the current user account.
2.After that simply click Start and type run in the search and hit Enter.
3.Then type “control userpaswords2” in the run window and hit Enter.
4.You will then have to check whether the check box which says Users must enter a user name and password to use is checked. If the check box is checked then let’s uncheck the check box, click on apply and ok tab and hit enter.
    5.Restart the computer.
6.Lastly, you will be able to see different users in the logon screen.

and press enter. . . now u can see the guest account on win 7 logon screen.
