GreaseMonkey scripts are a personal thing, what I like you may think is awful but one you should try is GoogleMonkeyR availble from here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/9310
That will give you a whole new slant on Google searches with loads of options you can configure.

You can browse through the 1000′s of scripts here: http://userscripts.org/scripts

Scrub Google Redirect Links (This script allows you to directly copy links from Google search results instead of opening them and then waiting for the page to load and then copy the page link) -

http://socialfixer.com/ for facebook is a really neat script and has some neat features.

Alternatively, you can also customize some websites by installing the Stylish addon. It modifies the css of the page. I have many stylish scripts installed, such as http://userstyles.org/styles/63354/chromeos-scrollbars-of-firefox http://cashew.insanejournal.com/1473832.html

BlockFlash2: https://userscripts.org/scripts/show/45343

Allows the browser to block flash until you click a “Play” button. Helps with performance and not load every flash video/ad that pops up in your browser.

All time favourite: Jasper’s Google Reader subscribe (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/2571). Saved me a lot of time searching for the feed link.

One of the most valuble GreaseMonkey scripts is in my opinion the
“I dont want to install Google Chrome” script.
I cannot stand that everytime I clear my cookies I ended up with the Install Google Chrome advert. With this script you can clear your cookies as often as you like without the annoying Chrome advert popping up.

You can get it here:
