June 26, 2011Please supply more information (i.e chrome version, operating system, system specifications, connection type). With the information you’ve supplied, you’ve left the door open to all types of different issues it could be. Google chrome allocates a heap of memory upon execution, if this memory is unavailable then it must wait until it is available. Check how much memory you have (Start->Control Panel->System). If you’re using Windows XP, you should have at least 2 GB’s. If you’re using Windows Vista or Seven, you should have at least 4 GB’s.
Go to Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DELETE) and go to the “performance tab” before you open up chrome, how many megabytes of memory are free? You should have at least 200 to properly start chrome. - Set your chrome start page to blank or something simple.
- Clear your cache
- Close out other applications before you open Chrome.
