I have searched Getjar but couldn’t find any worthwhile j2me app for PDF & ePub ebooks. I must tell you my mobile has NOT Symbian OS, it only supports java (j2me) apps.

Anyview is by far the best reader for Java mobiles.
Albite can be used to read various formats. Link: albite.org/reader

The best suggestion I can give you are:
For PDF books > Adobe Reader
For ePub books > Albite Reader

I suggest you also search in this site: http://www.mobile9.com/
Choose your phone model, and search for the programs I said. And if you don't find them, search for others.. Maybe you find a better solution!
    Hope it helped!
