What is a good, cheap or free, application for car inventory?

A friend of mine currently runs a small business that sells used cars. The partner this friend works with cancelled their subscription to Wayne Reaves (http://waynereaves.com/). The friend asked me for a way to do inventory of their cars. At first, I considered simply using an Excel spreadsheet but I want something that is specifically geared towards car inventory so that it is easy to maintain instead of possibly having to worry about macros and the like. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Most definitely stay away from a excel spreadsheet mate.

Keep in mind a few things, whatever system you guys pick needs to be comprehensive. It should track inventory, costs, wholesales prices (both NADA and BlackBook) and do his accounting for him. Remember its not just his inventory but its his entire business. Velocity is also a good service

    Few web based suggestions:

Pad, try this it is fully loaded, the price is a bit over what you may be looking for, but it has a trial.
