How can I get the GMail conversation threading in Outlook 2003?

I hate Outlook, but I have to use it for work. I love how GMail organizes my emails into threads and hides the quoted text and keeps the conversations neatly organized and easy to find.

Is it possible for Outlook to behave like that? Somehow?

I am using Outlook 2003, but 2007 has the same problem, right?

Hello, I believe you can use an additional column called conversation.

    -- go to your inbox
-- go to windows that lists your emails
-- right click any of the field headings
    -- select field chooser
-- from the list of extra fields that corresponds to your emails
-- click/drag conversation to other field header that is suitable for you

This link, will explain it better:

    Hi
USe feature called Conversation, and it's an optional column just like date received and subject. In your Inbox, go to the pane that lists your emails. Right-click any of the field headings, like From, or Subject, and select Field Chooser. You ll get a list of additional fields that pertain to your emails. Click and drag Conversation to the other field headings. You ll notice it looks just like subject, but ignores FW: and RE:.

Make Outlook thread conversations like Gmail
    http://danbrettsblog.blogspot.com/2006/05/give-outlook-gmail-conversation-view.html

Get sent messages to go into the inbox and not be marked as read:
1)The first thing you need to do is make messages you send get put in the Inbox. An additional thing you need to do is make them get marked as read
2)Outlook Gmail Rules and Filters: This is what my "Rules and Alerts" look after after adding a "CC send messages to inbox" rule and a "Mark messages from self as read" rule.
3)The next thing you need to do is make your e-mails show up in something that somewhat resembles GMails conversations. I set "Group By..." to "Conversation (ascending) and "Sort..." to Conversation (index).
4)Outlook Gmail Customized View Options: This is what my customized view options look like after grouping by conversation and sorting by conversation index

Thanks! This is very much what I was looking for, after some personalization it is great!
