How to freeze or uninstall apps that came with your Symbian phone?

There recently was an item on this for Android users on MakeUseOf. Is there similar guidance for those of us using Nokia phones running on Symbian Belle?

hi ha14, I get removing cancelled on some apps so they are not removed

 the apps installed by default cannot be removed by application manager you need a hard reset for that (check my answer )

1 switch of the phone
2 press the menu+camera+volume down button
3 keep these above buttons pressed and press the power button
4 keep all the buttons pressed until the loading screen appears then leave the buttons
5 this does a hard format and removes all the aps preinstalled on c drive and also removes the qt plugins
(the phone feels a lot faster after removing those)
6 if you want them back just go and search them in nokia store
