What is a free app I can use to transfer videos, music, photos, etc from my iPhone or iPod to my PC for backup? I do not want to delete the files on my iOS devices, but they have no any spare space to add the new media contents?

Note that when you install this app that looderharden posted, it will only let you transfer three songs unless you buy the full version... bait and switch, I'd say. If you have purchased music through the iTunes WiFi store and want to transfer it back to iTunes: right-click on the iPhone in the source column of iTunes and click on "sync back".

If you have inadvertently deleted music in iTunes and want it to transfer back from the iPhone: it is possible, I've no idea how to do it, but I'm sure someone around here can help.

    Hello friend!
There are number of tools available in the market to tansfer your music to the iTunes, however, you can also manually transfer your music from iPhone to the computer system using iTunes. You just need to connect your iPhone to the iTunes via PC. (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296)
However, when you keep your data with the iTunes then you may find several issues when restoring the data if required. Such situation can make your very frustrate thus to recover your data from the iTunes backup just use a reliable iPhone data recovery tool.

First of all pls make sure that ur iTunes is set to manually manage music. Then do it as the following dteps:
1.Connect iPod to computer, go to my computer n double click iPod drive, choose "tools" --> “Folder Options”--> “View” --> select “Show Hidden Files & Folders”and click “OK”

2.now right click “iPod Control” folder--> select “Properties”--> un-select “Hidden” and click “OK” --> select “Apply Changes To This Folder, Subfolder And Files” and click “OK” .
3.Next, click “iPod Control” folder and open “Music” , did u see folders labeled F00, F01, F02, F03…? Now Place iTunes side by side w/ this window and make sure that “Music Library” is displayed.
4.In iTunes select “Edit” --> Preferences-->Advanced, and put a check next to: “Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized” &”Copy Files To iTunes Music Folder When Adding To Library”, click “OK”.
5.Last step, just drag and drop all of the “F” folders into “Music Library” of itunes.
    Done!

The best app to transfer photos from iphone to PC or vice-versa is "dropbox". You need a wifi connection to transfer the photos.

You can use iTunes to backup the device, but for easy drag and drop, SharePod would make it simple to do. It allows for file transfers on any computer, any user at any time with low risk of losing files. Transferring any video files from an iOS device to a computer isn't easy, if possible, to do with iTunes, but SharePod does so easily.

I use Syncios manager for a few weeeks, it performs well among all the freeware. It allows you to transfer and manage your apps, photos, music, ringtone, audiobooks, videos, TV shows, MV, playlist, eBooks and more between iPod/iPhone/iPad and PC freely and easily. It also supports converting audios and videos for iPod/iPhone/iPad freely.
