Why are folders on my LG Optimus phone unnamed and empty when connected via USB?

Vanja Gorgiev asks:

So I have a LG Optimus L3 E400 and I have installed drivers for the phone. However, when I connect the phone via USB, I get a media icon in my computer. I click on it, then pick internal memory and there are unnamed folders and they are all empty. Here is a picture of the problem.

go to connection in the device and USB settings and select USB mass storage mode instead of MTP mode. if you cannot find this settings try going through the device settings until you find the connection settings. if you don’t see the mode, and rather a sign saying mount MicroSD, connect your mobile to the PC and mount the MicroSD. this will allow you to use the MicroSD as a removable device.
