Why are the F-keys on my Dell Inspiron acting like the function was reversed?

On my laptop, when I press the F1 key, it brings up “connect to a projector”, F2 turns on/off wireless connection, F3 shows battery life, ect. Whenever I want to press an F-key, I have to hold the “Fn” key. How can I fix this? I have a Dell Inspiron 1764.

    Hi Alex,

Were you able to find what was causing the issue? Have you looked inside BIOS seetings as recommended by Pratyush? Let us know.

There is an option to revert them to their default behavior in the BIOS.
