Ashwin Ramesh asks:
I have a Sony C series notebook with a HD web camera powered by “Exmor”. It works, but the webcam gives a blackened image all the time, whether it’s a video or a capture.
I haven’t tried re-installing the drivers as I’m not sure which one to install. There are so many graphic drivers given on the support site (http://www.sony-asia.com/support/product/vpccb38fn).
Could someone advise me on this? Thanks!

July 27, 2012try to scan your Sony Notebook with DriverEasy and will download the right version hopefully
http://www.drivereasy.com/
on the site that you mentioned you must choose the right Windows 7 OS and then will propose the drivers
open the device manager and locate your webcam then right click on it and choose uninstall then reboot after that Windows will detecte and install new Webcam driver.
GrrGrrr

did you try the sony vaio update to see if there is an update available for your model?
