How can I fix my jailbroken iPhone that is stuck?

legoguy asks:

I went to check my Cydia packages and deleted Cydia installer to remove jailbreak, but I didn’t know it wouldn’t solve it.

Now my iPhone does not turn on, stays on the Apple logo. I tried to reboot, but nothing. It got stuck on the pinnaple, then I tried to restore it, but it said it was in 4 hrs then it cancelled. Now iTunes does not want to restore it, says error -50. Please help! Thanks.

Error -50 = when the connection timeout occurred while downloading purchased content from the iTunes Store.

However it seems not linked to the event that you were doing…

Try using iExplorer and see if Cydia is still on your iPhone, just hidden.

-Hold down the power button + home button until your phone shuts down completely.
-Next, open iTunes
-Hold down the home button while plugging it into your computer.
-This will put you into recovery mode. iTunes should recognize it as such and ask you to restore it.
-Download the stock firmware for your model
-Hold down Ctrl when you click the Restore button in iTunes and then select the firmware you downloaded
-Let iTunes do the rest.

This will fix stuck iPhones most of the time but you will lose all the data on the phone as it is a complete stock restore.

WARNING: If you have ever unlocked your phone yourself OR flashed the iPad baseband, use Redsn0w to flash the stock firmware instead of iTunes and iTunes could potentially brick your phone permanently in these cases.

Hope this helps you. =]
