How can I fix an error in Google Chrome when it just shuts down?

Jamie Williams asks:

When I open Google Chrome I get an error box with a debug button. The error message is: Google has encountered a problem and needs to close. I clicked on the debug button to find out the problem, but Chrome shut down.

Uninstall Chrome from Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. Restart the machine. Reinstall Chrome and see if the problem persists.

Hi !!

Go to the Wrench icon on the right hand top corner. Go to Settings, Show Advanced Settings and try clearing all the browsing history, cookies and data.

Next you need to check the Extensions page for any unsupported or corrupt extension. Try disabling them and deleting the unnecessary ones.

In case if you still face the same issue, then re-installing Chrome is recommended.

You can use Windows’s Event Viewer to catch the bad guys behind the culprit :D If you alone cannot uphold the justice, upload the log file to some tech forums to find your destiny!
