How can I fix DVD Maker in Windows 7?

Leonard asks:

I tried to use DVD Maker to burn movies. It begins then a few seconds later it fails returning an error that it can not continue.
I looked it up, but there seems little in terms of solutions. I tried removing any codecs, and even tried removing it through Windows and then re-enabling the program. Still does not work!
What can I do short of re-installing Windows 7?

No – I want to fix the Windows DVDMAker software…for some reason it stops working when I begin creating a project, and I can not figure it out.
