What FireFox addon will prevent tabs from dynamically reloading content?

Vinod asks:

I’m a heavy user of firefox and I find that many tabs will be open at any point of time. I want a firefox addon that prevents the dynamic reloading of unused/idle tabs and makes FireFox more responsive.

You don’t need an add-on ~ you can prevent page refreshes triggered by websites using about:config

1. enter ‘about:config’ into the address bar
2. filter for “accessibility.blockautorefresh” and set it to ‘true’
