July 28, 2011There is no downloadable “combo” update to Mac OS X 10.5. It’s a new major version of the operating system.
I’m afraid you will have to buy an Mac OS X upgrade to 10.5 ~ which may actually be hard to get hands on since Mac OS X 10.6 has been out for 2 years.
If you got a Mac with in Intel processor you can go ahead and buy Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. If you still got an Power PC processor you will have to search the web for a Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard ~ you may have luck to find it on Amazon.
Thanks..I wish someone told me this when I purchased the new iphone.

July 28, 2011There is no such operating system 10.5 for the iPhone. 10.5 is Leopard for a mac book. the newest iOS for the iPhone is 4.3.5 and you can go download it from iTunes and it should work for you. Also you should know that in the next month to 2 months there should be iOS 5 and it is looking amazing!
Please re-read the question.
July 28, 2011To use an iPhone 4 you need at least iTunes 10.
To run iTunes 10 on a Mac you need at least Mac OS X 10.5.8.
…hence the problem
We’ll you know what I mean. I hate upgrading because it often isn’t a better system. But now I guess I have to find 10.5 on line and buy it. Thanks for your help.
