Where can I find my Firefox bookmarks after upgrading from Windows Vista to Windows 7?

I just upgraded my Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium. I installed using the Custom Settings without restarting my laptop.

So I have a folder with all my files from Windows Vista. However, since I forgot to backup my bookmarks, I’m hoping they are still there somewhere in the Windows.old folder.

My Question is, where exactly would they be?

    Hey HKB,

Were you able to locate your old Firefox bookmarks? Have you tried the suggestion from Mike? Let us know.

By default Firefox stores the entire profile within the AppData folder:
    C:UsersyournameAppDataLocalMozillaFirefoxProfiles

It's possible you will have to enable viewing of hidden files and folders in order to find it.
    1. click on Tools > Folder Options... (you might have to press ALT to see the menu)
    2. scroll down until you find "Show hidden files, folders and drives"
    3. activate the radio button and close the Folder Options
