How can I find this character combination with predefined rules in Excel 2010?

Hi guys,

I’ve got a different HTML code in each cell in a column. From the code I’d like to pick up all of the string and copy them to the other column. I would like to know if it is possible and how to automate this function.

All strings begin with ”http://any variation of domains, and ends with ”

So the (http://) and quotation marks are constant, and before last (”) would be a variable.

Thanks in advance!

You can easily, using Left() , Right() and Len() Excel functions

Give me a sample to work with.  An exact copy of a cell from the source column and what you want extracted from it for your destination cell.

You can do this with a macro. I would happily do this, but I don't have the time, or money. If I have one of them, I could help you out.

Contact me if you want jackcola.org, or what for someone to publish the code to use.
