I have a 300 GB Transcend hard drive and my desktop computer has suddently stopped detecting it. I checked with other data cables and other computers. Still not detecting. How to open it?
It's possible that the hard drive became faulty or one of it disks is corrupt. When I come across these scenarios, I often try to access it using another Operating System, like Linux, recover the data, then format it clean.
If it's still under warranty, you can contact support for help.
I highly recommend that you have a back up of back up with identical space, or you can use RAID 5 for hands off approach.
you can purchase identical 300 GB Transcend hard drive then transfer disk from the bad to good one. If it is under warranty contact the support.
