    Seems like there's no software for windows that is as good as iBooks author, but try those:
    Sigil - poor alternative, but something you can try (http://code.google.com/p/sigil/);
    Scrivener - much better than Sigil, but costs $40 (http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php)
    and finally, Adobe InDesign, professional tool for publications, costs around $500...

    No since Apple not launched iBook author for windows and no alternative is also available so wait to apple release it for windows or buy mac book.

    Nope, no such thing for Windows. Apple might later release it for Windows after it gains traction in the Mac universe.
