    1) Open Google Settings from your Android device.
    2) Touch Android Device Manager.
    3) Uncheck Allow remote lock and erase.
    4) Go to your device's main Settings menu, then touch Apps > All < Google Play services, click on it then •Select Manage Space then •Select Clear All Data
    5) Go back to Google Settings and select Allow remote lock and erase.
    6) Restart your device.

thanks. it worked! for knowledge perspective , please tell , how come the process does not involve option to check or uncheck 'allow location access' and involves the other options of 'allow remote lock and erase'? ( optional query )

well if it is checked then uncheck, it is just a precaution i think so so that all options are disabled and Clear All Data to function correctly, maybe also you do not need to uncheck both if they are both checked.

hard to explain this behaviour on windows mobile phone, since the android location being done on their Google servers not on the device itself, perhaps that the windows mobile device is recognized as a mobile by Google, and for some reason Google android choose to block Windows mobile device, or there is a specific settings that causing this problem!

i agree that it is hard to clarify the disabled tracking of android device via android device manager page login on WP8. I used a third party browser app on WP8 but it did not show location
