Jos asks:
I am looking for a free (almost free) app or cloud solution that will assist me in writing and publishing a couple of eBooks. Much like the ones that are available on MUO. Initially, they will be distributed as PDFs, but going into print is an option over time. How to start? Any suggestions?

April 15, 2010As the PDF editor, we design our PDF guides in Microsoft Word. If you want to turn it into print, you should read the article I wrote about Lulu.
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-publish-your-own-book-in-print-cheaply/. This allows you to sell your book without any overhead costs, and you just subtract the printing costs and your buyers can purchase your book in print.

April 15, 2010Where would I find an Open Office template for an A4 European size book? Lulu is nice I looked at it!
Here is the link for OpenOffice templates, http://templates.services.openoffice.org/
I recommend using the tag cloud to find the templates you need.
