How can I download or open log.reg from my registry?

Narendra asks:

My system has no sound. I think I might be able to determine what has happened with log.reg in the registry. How can I download that?

You can not download from the registry. To view or edit the contents of the key, go to start -> search/run and type “regedit.exe”. Then find the hive that the key is located in. I doubt this has anything to do with your audio issue, would you please expand on what the problem with your sound is?

If you know when did you lost the sound, and if you think registry is responsible, you can just restore your system using system restore.

You can export the registry as a *.reg file.
You can compare two *.reg files like this.

You can also try regshot etc :

Jay

logs and informs you about registry changes.
