How can I download ebooks to a Kindle from a CD in Windows?

Can’t seem to download from a CD to the Kindle. The computer tells me all the files are there, but when I check the Kindle, nothing.

The CD tells me the files are in MOBI. Do I need a program?

The Kindle does support MOBI ebooks -- but only unprotected ones.

If your MOBI ebooks are protected with DRM, it won't work.

Assuming you acquired the ebooks legally, you should be allowed to remove the DRM so you can read them on the Kindle. We've written about that here: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-strip-mobi-and-prc-ebooks-of-encryption/
