I want to use Windows 8. I use Windows XP. I have 250GB hard disk and 2GB RAM. Would there be any problem if I used Windows 8?

    32 bit requires 1 gb,
64 bit requires 2gb so it should work fine.

yes it do requires more ram and processor.
    For runiing xp you need.
Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended)
At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk
Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600)or higher resolution
    For windows 8 you need
Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2 (more info)
    RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver
Although if you are in windows 7 then windows 7 and 8 has same requirements.

    YES.
Do not go by "recommended" amounts. If you have less than 4 gigs of Ram Windows 8 will be a sluggish nightmare! 8 min. is what you really want

Windows xp earlier version (i.e win xp sp1 ) needs only 256 mb ram... But later version (xp sp3) need 1gb requirement....

Your configuration is fine... You can use windows 8....

"Do you actually believe what you have written? Do you know what memory is?"
Yes sir, I do believe in each word i have written up there, Yes I know what memory is,specially when concerning computers , Computer memory can refer to many types of memory within a computer, but, typically, it refers to random access memory (RAM). It is physically found on computer chips that are inserted onto the computer’s motherboard. RAM is electronic, rather than mechanical; that is, it does not have moving parts and therefore data access to it is very fast. Modern computers often have somewhere between 256 MB (megabytes) and 2 GB (gigabytes) of RAM, although there are, of course, computers with more or less RAM. RAM is also volatile, meaning that it gets lost when the computer is switched off.

I do also believe in :-
The minimum hardware requirements for Windows XP Home Edition are:

Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)

At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk

        CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
Keyboard and a Microsoft Mouse or some other compatible pointing device
Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600)or higher resolution
        Sound card
        Speakers or headphones

You will not have problems with ram, but check wheather the rest of your computer supports windows 8. If it is older, maybe there is no drivers for your mother board. Also, I would go for se7en, not win 8.
