In Outlook 2010 you can turn off the reading pane, but only in one folder at a time. How can I turn it off once and for all?

Hi Guys... I have Oulook 2010 and am not terribly computer literate... I tried to follow the directions in the about.com article, but got lost.

Can you tell me (detailed, step-by-step) how to disable the reading pane globally for Outlook 2010 and how to disable the "groupings" by date as well (globally)? I know how to it for individual folders and inboxes, but it's taking forever going one by one.

    Thanks,

    Debbie C.

      Debbie,

I would recommend to ask a new question.

The article on this page should help.

Great thanks - that did the trick...

In 2010 the command to start Outlook is different though, but I just added /preview after the command in the shortcut like this:
      "C:Program Files (x86)Common Filesmicrosoft sharedVirtualization HandlerCVH.EXE" "Microsoft Outlook 2010 0000000000000000" /nopreview
