James Messiha asks:
I work from home. I want to attach an IP Phone to my internet router (Cisco SPA525G2) and be able to use it to dial numbers from Outlook running on my PC. Can this be done without a server?

July 31, 2012If the IP Phone comes with some software or plugin that integrates with Outlook this should be possible. But by default Outlook doesn’t ‘play’ with other means of communication be it an IP phone or a VoIP software.

Cisco Phones support this with the help of a software called call manager express.
