How can I delete multiple messages quickly on my iPhone?

I have 724 messages on my iPhone 3g. How can I delete all of them with a few keystrokes?

There’s no way in which you can delete all messages in a single stroke.Only trash folder has this feature.All you can do is tapping on edit button and selecting the circles present on the left side of each messages.At bottom tap on delete.

Dude, I had 1200 mails.
Do what I did, easy remove the mail account from setting.
and re-add it. and all msg gone :D
(ofc you need to delete all from original site(gmail,walla,hotmail etc)
or the iphone will get them back.

In iPhone email list select ‘Edit’ then press & hold ‘Delete’ then select an email (whilst still holding the ‘Delete’ button. This should bring up the ‘Delete all’ button. This should work the same for ‘Mark’ & ‘Move’ function too.

The fastest way that I’ve seen is to use a computer to bring up your e-mail and delete from there. It takes a few seconds, but it also deletes them from the Iphone.
