How can I create a live Windows 8 USB?

I am interested in trying Windows 8 before installing it on my laptop. Is there any way to create a live USB for Windows 8 like Linux? I tried using the Windows 7 USB/DVD tool, but it asks me to install Win 8. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello, I haven't tried it myself but maybe you can give YUMI a shot.  As long as you have the ISO image,  I do not see a problem with windows 8.  I might be wrong though:

This is a great question and I've been looking into it myself. I've heard about "Windows To Go," a new feature in Windows 8 that allows this sort of thing.

Turns out that it's not available in the Consumer Preview and it will require a corporate version of Windows to work, when it's eventually released. I'm really disappointed about that.

The best way to try Windows 8 before you install is with a virtual machine: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/windows-8-virtualbox-free/

That post was written for the Developer Preview, but the process is similar. I've been running the Consumer Preview in VirtualBox, myself.
