How to enable ‘Eject’ soft-key desktop shortcut for CD drive of Presario CQ42 laptop? On right clicking DVD drive , there is ‘Eject’ shortcut in context menu. Can it be set as desktop shortcut?

You can also use Wizmo but like Bruce, I recommend NirCMD which can do a lot more beside controlling the CD door.

Download and install NirCmd and create a shortcut that points to "C:pathtonircmd.exe" cdrom open 'driveletter:' where 'driveletter' is the letter Windows has assigned to the optical drive.
