Could a hacker be responsible for people disappearing from a very secret Facebook group?

I’m the admin of a very active secret group on Facebook. If somebody left the group in purpose, the members would decrease by 1, 2 , 4 mostly, but more than 10 people vanished in one hour. How can this be happening? Besides I get notifications like “6 people asked you to join the group” then I find just 1 or 2 at most on the request page. On top of that, sometimes I get requests from people who are already members to re-join the group!
Could there be hackers but they don’t appear as admins?

I don't know your answer but people I know say several people have disappeared from their friend lists. I can't find two of my relatives accounts I Graph Search. These are probably bugs in Facebook's software. Also check out this page,

Ask yourself why would hackers want to delete your members? Its very unlikely so FB Support is where I would head to for assistance.

Not likely to be hackers. It'd be best to address your concerns to Facebook Support though.

Click on the Settings cog in the top-right corner and select Report a Problem. From there, you can get assistance directly from Facebook staff.
