I want to share files between two of my computers without using a USB, CD or other piece of physical media between them?

    hello .

you can  try a very good app - Tonido .  tonido.com

after installation , it would set up your computer as a Virtual Cloud . and generate a unique URL specific for your PC on which you installed Tonido .

just remember this URL and enter it from any where you want to , and you would then have direct access to your PC .

now you can transfer files , stream music , remotely control processes and many more .

Eg. - install it on the PC from where you want to transfer files .
set it , and remember the URL it generates .

now go to the second PC , and just type the URL in a browser , enter the password you generated while setting up Tonido and Done .!

you have direct access to the computer and its files .

do any thing you want to now .

!!--> and if both the computers are on the same network ,
you would get amazing speeds ...

    try and see ...

just copy it to your clipboard on one machine, then paste it from the clipboard on the other machine? Or, better yet, just drag and drop items between two completely different machines?

Hello, if your computers are in the same network, you could setup a network share on each computer.  Once the network shares are setup, you can access it between the two computers.

You can also, copy/move all the files to a specific folder and share that folder in the network. Keep in mind that if you do this, you have to share a folder in each computer.

If you are using two windows 7 computers, you can enable the homegroup option in one computer and once it is set up use the password you got when you set it up and join the second computer to homegroup with the password you got.

You can also use programs/software like dropbox.  The free service gives you 2 GB of storage.  You can buy more storage if needed.  Once you set up your dropbox account, you join both computer to it, and once you copy/move a file to dropbox, it will automatically sync both computers.

You can also use live Mesh to share files between computers. This is a free service:
