I want to connect my HDPVR to my digital monitor.
The HDPVR has only Component Video out, while the Monitor has only HDMI in.
How can I connect the Component Video to HDMI ?

Hello, HDMI produces a smoother and sharper picture, it also provides better sound and less video noise. The difference between the two is that they both deliver digital signal from a source to a display, but they do it differently. Digital signals are encoded in different ways and have to be converted, scaled and processed to be displayed as an image and sound. HDMI delivers the signal in a digital format in the form of a bitstream, while component video does it in an analog format, sending the signal as a set of continuous power volts through the red, green and blue components of the signal. There are several options like the one advertised on this link:

Check the following link for possible options:

I think there exists converters (or adapters) that will allow you to use a component input with an HDMI television. The problem is that it won't convert the video signal, which might cause all manner of display issues, depending on what your monitor's resolution is.

Shopping.google.com has several such devices, although whether or not it would satisfy your purposes is entirely unknown to me. Hope that helps.
