Is it correct to always connect the charging adapter during use?

    Ashtosh,

    NO, that is NOT correct!

    And it doesn't matter what type of battery you have. Some batteries suffer from memory effect, caused by recharging it while it's not drained yet (Nickel-Cadmium), others are damaged by heat (Lithium-ion), and all batteries have limited charge-uncharge cycles.

    So if you have AC power available, remove your battery and run your laptop on AC power only. Use the battery only if there is no AC power or if your AC power source is unreliable, e.g. if you experience frequent power cuts. In that case I'm afraid your battery has to suffer!
