How do I configure a universal remote for my Acer TV/monitor combo?

I bought an Acer TV/monitor new with a remote that died after about a month. They don’t replace the remotes and I don’t know how to configure a universal remote, or even which one to get or if it will work. So I can’t switch from computer screen to TV…. and I’m missing The Big Bang Theory!

Can you please provide the model number of Acer? It would be helpful for us to provide concise and quick answers.

Hello, when you bought the universal remote, did you keep the instructions that came with it? There should be a paper with instructions and codes. If you still have it, look the list of TVs compatible with your remove for Acer and then it will tell you what the 4 digit (usually 4 numbers) are. Once you have that code, just follow the instructions on the paper.
