July 23, 2012Check the System Event Log for the entries leading up to the restart. You can find the restart event by looking for a Source of Event Log and Event ID of 6009. This Event ID is the OS identification and is always the first event logged when the system starts. The next sequential event (6005) is the notification that the event log service has started (never really made sense to me why this doesn’t happen before the 6009 but that is Microsoft for ya!). The events logged in the few minutes leading up to this should point you in the right direction as to WHY the system has restarted. Once this is known you should be able to do something about it.

July 23, 2012Make sure that “AutoShutdown” option is Disabled, you can check this by going into “Options > Autoshutdown”
PS) you can also use Portable Version of utorrent or might also like to switch to Bittorrent to check that this problem is with all torrent clients or just with your Installed utorrent
I already updated the utorrent, I also used bittorrent, but the problem is still there.. I already uncheck the autoshutdown… but the BSOD (Blue screen of death) appears..

July 24, 2012Actually, we have lack of information here, both ha14 and Bruce is true, depend of your case. If you are just finish downloading a file like movie, song, video, and it is automatically shutdown, please refer to Bruce, but if you just starting downloading one of those files above and it is automatically shutdown, refer to ha14 post and i think another problem is your computer resources is already used by another application, so it will shutdown automatically.
The rebooting problem occurs when I’m in the middle of downloading process… what do you think? thanks
July 24, 2012Open task manager, see if your PC resources is fully used? if not, Check your hard drive free volume state, whether it is already full or has lots of free volume. If it is not full, try using ccleaner to clean all your junk file. Please also see the memory usage.

July 27, 2012Does this only happen when using torrents. What about day to day use of the PC. Is it fine while browsing etc. So you don’t download the full file before it restarts so how long before it restarts.
This only happens when downloading torrent file. Maybe after 5 mins. of downloading torrents, it will shutdown..

August 9, 2012Hi Edmark, found this article relating to a BSOD using uTorrent, but since it is related to network ( the problem you are having) it just may solve your problem. If you want to give it a go here it is –
