You can change the language of your Facebook itself. Or if you go into system preferences on your computer you can change the language of the computer itself.

by using the Microsoft Indic Language Input tool. Its available to you from MSN India website at . The tool allows you to type in Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu

    - Go to the Microsoft Indic language tool located at

    Step 2:
    - Type in your Text in the box and the tool will automatically convert it to the text in the language you chose. Don't worry about anything that it does not spell correctly for you for now

    Step 3:
    - Once you have typed all your text in, hover over and click on a Word that you think was not interpreted or typed correctly by the Indic language tool and it will give you options to choose another word from a list or edit the word.

    Step 4:
    - If for some reason, the word is not there in the list presented to you, you can choose to Edit the Word in the language itself, clicking on Edit brings up this language editor where you can type your own word

Your transliterated text is now available to you and you can copy and paste this in any online application such as FaceBook, Twitter, Flicker etc or any Word Processor too. That's how you can type in Hindi on FaceBook or Twitter using Microsoft's Indic Language Tool.

Goto your FB wall, reach bottom and press esc to avoid further loading of older posts, click Language right there at the bottom, select Hindi, start typing :)
when you want to switch back select English from that very place.

If you google your question, you will find the links posted here.

but google also provides easy transliteration option.

You can also use google bookmarklet for this which allows you to type in any many languages on any site including facebook.

You can also use epic browser or some other tools, which has inbuilt options of typing in Indian langs.
