How can I clear UserAssist registry key?

How can I clear UserAssist registry key and fix it, so it records nothing ever again? I need to do this without going into registry. I am new to PC. Thanks.

you can clear the reg keys but they will be repopulated again as the soft still in windows.

Also, in vista and 7 you can disable UserAssist logging.
