How can I clean my hard disk in Windows?

I get a notice that I am running low on space.

    I would the same thing as well. In addition once the above four steps are completed use one of the disk usage visualization tools to find the directories using most space.

    Do a scan and see the amount of free space you will gain, if it looks good for you then buy it.
